Township of Laurentian Valley Community Policing Committee Minutes – Dec 21, 2011 Meeting –

1.) Minutes of Nov 16th meeting approved as amended, motion by Allan W. 2nd by Ken A.
2.) No OPP report – No Officer present to make report.

3.) Allan reported that he has the poster is finalized for review. Everyone agreed it was good to post as is. A short list of poster locations was created and each member will post one or two of them. The actual locations to be documented at next meeting. Charlotte will also put poster on Facebook page. Allan willo have it posted on Twp web site, as well as update member list. New photos required.

Allan has made no progress regarding the borrowing of radar board from Petawawa . Similar status exists re bicycles for OPP. He will re address both issues in the new year.
4.) Old Business
Presentation for Seniors through Golden Friendship Club will be planned for
Mar/Apr 2012. Action item Philip will contact Bill Kennedy to see if they are
interested and set up date & time. Remains outstanding.

2.) Mason’s CHip Clinic to be held Feb 11, 2012 at Shady Nook Rec Centre. Same date as Hockey Day in Canada. Time 9:00 to 3:00. Action item: Keith to contact Derek and request e-copy of letter asap for Charlotte, to hand over to hockey convenor for distribution to hockey players.

3.) Lock it or Lose it Flyers; Keith reported LVPC members distributed 1650 flyers
to vehicles in the WalMart, Canadian Tire and Home Depot parking lots.

4.) Ken reported several quotes he received on safety vests for members. The Viking was selected and Ken will arrange for order. Once vests are received we’ll see about Twp logo crest. Allan to check on around the neck holders for an ID card.
