PURPOSE, EFFECT AND LOCATION OF ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT (File No. Z-2011-07)
The purpose of the proposed amendment is for the Township to establish provisions in the Comprehensive Zoning By-law that would prohibit the use of seacans, trailers or shipping containers in all Commercial zones.
The effect of the amendment is to add a new Trailers, Seacans and Shipping Containers subsection to the General Provisions of the Zoning By-law and establish a provision that states that trailers, seacans and shipping containers shall not be permitted for any use in any Commercial Zone. A definition will also be included in the Definitions Section of the Zoning By-law.
As this amendment is a change to the text of the Comprehensive Zoning By-law and affects all Commercial zones in the Township of Laurentian Valley, no Key Map is attached.
