FORM 1 TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of Laurentian Valley passed By-law No. 2011-05-026 on the 17th day of May, 2011, under Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, C.p.13. PURPOSE, EFFECT AND LOCATION OF ZONING BY-LAW AMENDMENT (Application File No. Z-2011-06) The effect of the amendment would be to rezone the property from Rural (RU) to Rural-Exception Fifty-Four (RU-E54) and to establish special provisions for the RU-E54 zone which includes a minimum rear yard setback of 3.0 metres and an 18.5 metre setback from the eastern side lot line. The exception provisions shall also deem the rear lot line to be that lot line which is opposite the lot line that is the closest parallel lot line to Pembroke Street East. The lands affected by the Amendment are located at 1444 Pembroke Street East (Highway 148), Part Lot 12, Concession 2, FAL, geographic Township of Pembroke, in the Township of Laurentian Valley, as shown on the Key Map. AND TAKE NOTICE that any person or agency may appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board in respect of the By-law by filing no later than the 8th day of June, 2011, a notice of appeal with the Clerk of the Corporation of the Township of Laurentian Valley, which must set out the reasons for the appeal and must be accompanied by the prescribed fee of $125.00 payable to the Minister of Finance by certified cheque or money order. The appeal must also be accompanied by the completed OMB appeal form. If you wish to appeal to the Ontario Municipal Board, a copy of an appeal form is available from the OMB website at www.omb.gov.on.ca or by contacting the Township. Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a by-law to the Ontario Municipal Board. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf. No person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the by-law was passed, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the council or, in the opinion of the Ontario Municipal Board, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.
