That Council accept the Valley Truck & Spring Service tender for a 2002 International 2674 6x4 truck equipped with Viking (Champion) Two Way Side Spread/Dump Box and Snow Plow and Wing for the price of $158,455.00 (P.S.T./G.S.T. included) after trade plus $500.00 (P.S.T./G.S.T. excluded) for a rear differential “3 wheel lockup” feature. CARRIED.

That the Council of the Township of Laurentian Valley directs J.L. Richards & Associates Ltd. to prepare a Change Order to the Curb Side Waste Collection Contract with R.W. Tomlinson Limited, to allow direct billing to the Township by the Ottawa Valley Waste Recovery Centre of tipping fees associated with the Waste Collection Contract. CARRIED.

BY-LAWS:
By-Law Number 02-05-139, being a By-Law to establish a system for the reduction of false alarms was given three readings and passed on a motion by Steve Bennett and Rick O’Brien.
By-Law Number 02-05-140, being a By-Law to adopt a plan for peacetime disasters and to repeal By-Law Number 874-12-91 of the (former) Township of Stafford and By-Law Number 647-12-91 of the (former) Township of Pembroke was given three readings and passed on a motion by Kellard Witt and Allan Wren.
