TAKE NOTICE that pursuant to the requirements of Section 34(10.7) of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended, the Corporation of the Township of Laurentian Valley advise that an application for amendment to Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 08-04-391 of the Township of Laurentian Valley has been received and was deemed to be a complete application pursuant to the requirements of the Planning Act. AND FURTHER, TAKE NOTICE that the Township of Laurentian Valley will hold a PUBLIC MEETING ON TUESDAY MARCH 16th, 2010 at 4:30 p.m. at the Township Municipal Office at 460 Witt Road, to consider the proposed amendment to Comprehensive Zoning By-law No. 08-04-391 of the Township of Laurentian Valley. The amendment has been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c.P.13, as amended. Welcome to the Township of Laurentian Valley

Laurentian Valley Municipal Office

The former Townships of Stafford-Pembroke and the Township of Alice and Fraser amalgamated on January 1, 2000. The newly formed Township of Laurentian Valley surrounds the City of Pembroke and is south of the Town of Petawawa.

Land uses range from rural residential and farming properties on private water and sewer services to suburban and residential and highway commercial on municipal water and sewer. There are several blocks of industrial properties in the municipality and regionally significant mineral aggregate resources.

The Township has approximately 20 kilometres of Ottawa River frontage. Development is controlled through the official plan and zoning by-laws. There are a number of excellent recreation facilities in the Township. Laurentian Valley also has an abundance of Crown lands within its boundaries, which border on Algonquin Park and offers easy access to excellent hunting and fishing.
