This manual is prepared for the reference of all candidates for the 2010 Municipal Elections.  The manual outlines the various procedures, policies and processes that will be used during the election period. 

The manual is a useful guide for candidates to ensure that they are following the rules of the Election Process as applicable.

The manual is provided for the convenience of candidates.  Candidates are encouraged to consult the applicable provincial legislation governing the Election Process, in particular the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 (as amended).

Candidates should note that, in all cases of disagreement between this manual and the applicable legislation, the applicable provincial legislation shall take precedence.
