Notice of Municipal Office Closure on Wednesday September 8th 2010

Due to the construction work at the Township Municipal Office, the Office at 460 Witt Road will be closed on Wednesday, September 8th, 2010. The office will re-open to the public on Thursday, September 9th, 2010. Please note, that from September 9, 2010, until the end of September, the usual building entrance will be closed and the public will need to access the building through a different entrance that will be marked on-site. We appreciate your patience while we work to serve you better.

Strategic Planning Open House Sessions

The general public is invited to attend one of two Open House sessions to hear a presentation from Mr. Rob Wood, Consultant and to discuss the Strategic Plan Draft Document. Sessions will be held as follows: Date: Thursday September 9th, 2010 Time: 2:00 to 3:30 PM 7:00 to 8:30 PM Location: Shady Nook Recreation Centre Those interested in the Stratgic Planning Process are invited to attend one of these sessions. If unable to attend, the public is welcome to submit comments on the draft document to the municipality via email or regular mail.

Persons wishing to put their names forward in nomination for a position on the 2010 to 2014 Municipal Council or for any of the available School Board positions are reminded that the deadline for receipt of nominations is Friday September 10th, 2010 at 2:00 PM Late nominations will NOT be accepted. People wishing to submit their names are encouraged to review the information posted on the Election Page of this website.

Notice is hereby given of the Call for Nominations for the 2010 to 2014 Term of Municipal Council.

Nominations will be received up to 2:00 PM Friday September 10th, 2010 by submission of the required Nomination Forms (available from the Municipalo Office) and by payment of the required Nomination Fee. (Note, payment of the fee may only be in cash, money order or certified cheque).

Further information can be obtained from the Returning Officer (John Baird) or the Deputy Returning Officers (Bruce Lloyd and Cathy Wren).
