AT ALGONQUIN COLLEGE IN THE OTTAWA VALLEY

HIGH SPEED INTERNET – RIGHT AT YOUR FINGERTIPS! (DAT7198)
Are you curious about online communication, web cams and forum sites? Imagine the convenience of banking or shopping from home! This interactive workshop highlights these topics and provides great information on Internet security and online research sites looking at free online resources. Surf your favourite sites, download music, play games online, watch videos, whatever you spend your online time doing, everything is always right there at your fingertips.  

With the help of funding through the Rural Connections program of the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs (OMAFRA), once again, free introductory workshops are being offered for residents of the Township of Laurentian Valley and Town of Petawawa through a partnership between the LVP Broadband Initiative, Laurentian Valley Petawawa and Algonquin College.

While the courses are intended for Laurentian Valley or Petawawa residents or business owners, if you are not a resident  or business owner of either Laurentian Valley or Petawawa and would like to attend a workshop, please call the Project Coordinator at 613-735-6291 ext. 207.

You may choose from 10 different workshop dates being offered September through November 2010:
Schedule: All workshops held in Room 102, Pembroke Campus. (Note: All workshops are 3 hours long and are offered both during the day and at night.  The Day Sessions are delivered on Fridays and the Night Sessions are delivered on Mondays.)

Friday November 5, 2010 from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon

Monday November 1, 2010 from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm
