Come and Celebrate the Launch of Phase One of the LVP Broadband Initiative (Laurentian Valley & Petawawa)!

The Joint Broadband Commitee is pleased to invite you to a celebration and information session to be held on Thursday, February 11th, 2010, at the Shady Nook Communtity Centre located at 80 Richardson Crescent in the Township of Laurentian Valley, just off Highway 41.

There will be two sessions where you may come and hear presentations and ask questions of Bell representatives and municipal staff.  The first session will be held from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm and the second session will be held from 5:30 pm until 7:00 pm.  The same presentations will be repeated at each session so you only need attend one.

Plan to attend and learn about the timing for the different phases of the project and whether your area qualifies for high speed through this project funded by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Rural Connections Program.  Also learn the difference between DSL and wireless high speed internet.  There will also be information on future community outreach events such as upcoming free courses to be offered in conjunction with Algonquin College.
