GENERAL INFORMATION
Executive meetings are held the first Monday of each month, all interested community members are welcome.
Seniors meet the first Thursday of the month (excluding July, August and December).
Organized soccer for children 4-16 is held each summer. All children from the area are welcome.
Organized sponge puck hockey for children 5-16 is held each winter. All children from the area are welcome.
Shady Nook also has a community hall which is available to the public;
SHADY NOOK HALL RENTAL
As of September 2009, the rental fees are as follows:
Hall Rental Fee with Bar - 6 hour maximum (costs include security required by Provinicial regulations)
- Sunday thru Thursday - $125.00 + gst
- Fridays and Saturdays - $325.00 + gst
Hall Rental fee without Bar
- Sunday thru Thursday - $200.00 + gst
- Fridays - $250.00 + gst
- Saturdays - $ 350.00 + gst
Family Reunions (allows for full use of the facility)
Kitchen Use
- Cooking (oven use) - $50.00 per day + gst
- Food preparation (ie. use of kitchen area for sandwich preparation, etc.) - $25.00 per day + gst
- No charge for either storage of food (refrigeration) of foods prepared at home, or use of coffee perculators.
P.A. System Rental
Please note :
- Arrangements for hall rentals can be made with the hall convenor by calling the Community Centre at 613-732-0954.
- The hall is licensed by the LCBO and has a capacity of 225 persons.
- For events with a bar, alcohol will not be served after 1:00 am.
- Costs may change periodically so please confirm by calling the Community Centre and speaking with a convenor.
